Default Rc4wd foams a little stiff??

So I just got some steel beadlocks and rc4wd IROK tires. To replace my stock cut canyons. Foams are toast on canyons. Like running 3psi in a 1:1. But, I've noticed the IROK seem to have less grip? I like the looks, but know the center tread pattern is more close together than the cut canyons. I have no brass yet. Is there anything to help the IROK be a little softer? I'm non vented too. I run wet and dry and don't want to swap tires or have to pull foams if I don't have to. Will venting make that much difference on them?

Let them break in a bit - foams soften up pretty quickly under regular use.

Tires need a bit of scrubbing as well.

If you vent them they will feel a bit softer, but the foams will begin decaying much faster (especially if you ever get them wet).

The rubber on new tires has a mold-release coating.

It will get scrubbed off as you drive, especially on abrasive surfaces - the tires true performance will be felt after some use, just like the foams.

I used to pre-soak new rubber tires in Simple Green or Purple Power solutions to get rid of the mold-release, they come out ridiculously sticky...

But since I don't compete, and have MANY sets of wheels and tires, it was getting ridiculous (I was letting them soak for like a week!) - now I just let them get scrubbed naturally.

When they come out of the soak the super-stickiness only lasts for a while, as sand, dust, and dirt sticks to the tire and starts to make them feel more like a normal tire again.
