Default Struggle-war with inner fender shock mts

As the title says
....EVERY time i go to re-secure top shock screws thru either/or front/rear fenders ...at LEAST two, at random, cause me sooooo much frustration!!! Please tell me i am NOT alone?!

I know many on these forums have fabricated a way to use shock "hoops" (rainbow shaped shock 'keys')...worth the "mod"/fab? ie; choppibg fenders to accommodate both the hoops AND shock top/body??
I personally loVE the look, but i digress.

So, my concern is that im 95-97-ish % done installing the TRX Long arm Lift Kit....and im super stoked to get her rolling, despite fears of current 2spd internal trans. Issues afoot.

Im def NOT reverting the lift kit, not till ive put it thru hell at least. I also have true shock 'keys' but have issues mounting em with 'minimal-NO fab/cutting/or other wise engineering a simple solution to at least temporarily use those?? Any help greatly appreesh! And already sending good vibes y'all's way!

Those were a pain in the a$$ for me also. After much cussing and threats of being thrown out the second story window they finally went it.

It'll be a cold day in hell before I take those shocks off again lol

At first it was very frustrating to mount the shocks back in place. But after a while, you get used to it. I now turn the truck to it's side, so that I can actually see if they are in place and simply push the screw with my hand to keep it there until I screw it.

Honestly I've gotten used to it in the sense that you guys have, assuming you're referring to trying to center the hollow ball between the two holes in the fender, no biggie.... I did find out however that these lift kit shocks, were actually keeping my screw from going fully through them as if they were too narrow in the inner diameter, so I ended up having to drill out the hollow balls just a tiny bit and it all went together like butter something to look out for if y'all come across a struggle fest and hollow balls are involved.
