I'm wanting to add rear steer to my TRX6. Looking at it if I just add a front axle to the rear the diff would be on the wrong side, to cause it to spin backwards. Has anyone successfully done this??

This shouldn't be any different than putting rear-steer on a TRX4, just need to double up. The hard part here is getting the servo mounted on the chassis and mounting the panhard bar.

I have not seen a 1:1 multi axle rig with rear steer where only 1 rear axle steers, always both. I would think this is critical as I can't see it working well with as close as the two axles are to each other otherwise you will be dragging the inner axle/wheels when you turn.

Coach buses do it im pretty sure. The rears turn a fraction of the front wheels though So you somehow have to ratio the front servo to the rear servo. Edit: Now that I am pondering it, i wonder if those rear axles just follow along and are not actively steered by a powersteerimg rack Last edited by mass-hole; 10-27-2021 at 05:59 PM. | |
