I guess I should pay more attention to this particular forum. I thought the next race was in June. Any idea of when the next race is?

Looks like a fast and very scale appearing 1.9 trail rig right there. Love it!

After this past weekend and a few races, I've become hell bent on building a U4 rig to get into the mix. So, I'm creating specs for this imaginary monster and I'm having the internal struggle and mental argument with myself over axles....and all the stuff that turns them. To use built up stock or go currie is where I'm stuck. So, question...if you were just starting this process, would you jump right into the currie axles and gear the sucker up OR use beefed up stock axles and a bullet proof trans. The temptation to bling and make strong with curries is strong in this one, but knowing plastics, there are advantages there too. What does the field say?

OH....and if currie is an option, any considerations to color. I'm a traditional black undercarriage guy, but the silver is also available.....gun metal looks hot, but is out of stock. Does one hold up better than another. I think they all look well loved with that soft pin striping on their belly regardless.

Thanks!

Run stock, replace with better when your break it. That's what I did.

However, I did replace the gears in the trans with Robinson Racing ones.
