To use built up stock or go currie is where I'm stuck. So, question...if you were just starting this process, would you jump right into the currie axles and gear the sucker up OR use beefed up stock axles and a bullet proof trans. The temptation to bling and make strong with curries is strong in this one, but knowing plastics, there are advantages there too. What does the field say?

OH....and if currie is an option, any considerations to color. I'm a traditional black undercarriage guy, but the silver is also available.....gun metal looks hot, but is out of stock. Does one hold up better than another. I think they all look well loved with that soft pin striping on their belly regardless.

Thanks!
went all in from day one and love it

I'm curious how you guys mount the transponder to your rc cars for the races? Can anyone provide pictures or ideas? I'm assuming you just velcro it down to the chassis?

The transponder is 1" x 1.5" x 1/2" deep. It has a post on the top, like a body mount. It fits through the hole, and a clip goes on the other side, through the post. Just be sure that the transponder can clear all suspension movement. Ideally, it would not have any metal obstructions above, or below it.

I've been searching for an updated schedule. Isn't there going to be a race at Glen Helen on the 28th of June?
