| Trimming Phoenix Body?
Hey All, I have some PL Hydrax installed on my Phoenix and they tend to rub when articulated and turning. Any suggestions on proper trimming after paint? Trying to do the minimal necessary This is at normal ride height, and rubs when flexed This is stuffed Thanks Brian |

Wheel spacers? I wouldn't trim for that amount of rub. If you're trailing it mostly, it's not like you'll be at full compression all the time. Otherwise you'd be cutting the flares off entirely. |

That's odd that they are rubbing. I'm running the Trenchers which are the same size and mine does not rub. If it was me, I would just cut the fender flare at the point where the flare starts to roll over. Leaving the fender flare sticking straight out. You could also add a small piece of fuel tubing or plastic spacer (2-3mm) to the shock shaft to limit the travel a tiny bit. I have done that on a few builds and it works great. |

The Stock VXT tires are a tiny bit smaller and narrower but its not uncommon for a stock body to have rubbing even with stock tires. Trenchers may have slightly more clearance with their more round shape. If you're up for it you could try pushing the front axle forward a smidge. |

I trimmed just a touch off the rolled edge. From the bottom up, i curved it n feathered it back in to the stock edge

Hello, yea I have a similar setup with the hyrax tires and had to cut the body on both my trucks. I posted more pictures at Vanquish Products VS4-10 Origin picture archive-NO TALKING although I trimmed after painting so the plastic had a white-ish line where the cut was made, I just took a black sharpe to it and it came out looking pretty good. |
