| Phoenix Servo Fitment
I finally decided to put the electronics in a Phoenix portal that I built over a year ago. When doing this I found that the Holmes Hobbies servo that I purchased for the steering will not work. It binds on the chassis in 2 places. A Reefs servo I had works as it should. Anyone else experienced a Holmes servo not working in a Phoenix?

I’ve had that issue with an shv800 and vp clamping horn. I believe the shv650 and maybe the 500’s are a tad longer and don’t have the issue anymore. Which servo did you have? One could argue that the servo horn is to blame (at least in my case)… but I like using the vp horns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My SVH800 Did the same thing, using a VP horn. I filed the end of the horn down just enough so it clears. No issues as of yet

SHV500 v3, or shv500lp? You could always just use a different servo horn? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sand down the mounting surface on the servo mount. I took about 2mm off which basically levels the mounting surface with the notch between the screw holes. The Holmes SHV800 and 500V3 clear easily with the Vanquish horn after that.

I've got one of the SHV800's in both my Phoenix and my Ultra but used a 500v3 in my Ultra originally. I would follow what @SVT923 said and shave the mount to make it work.
