I like the look of the ascender but it sits a little too high. Can it be easily dropped to make it look more scale? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I mounted the body so that the grille is just above the bumper. Then adjusting the spring preload to get the desired height. | |

The posts have plenty of adjustment holes in them and are held in by screwed pins similar to the Axial drive shaft pins.

Put the truck on the table up side down and look underneath and see where the bumpers rubs against the body, mark it with a sharpie and dremmel out the places needed, you can also use lexan scissors or hobby/crafts knife. Just do some trial and error, its basicly pretty simple

It is super easy to do, and it makes the truck look a lot better. Mine is mounted nice and low with the grille right above the bumper just like a real Blazer. I'm not sure why so many people have been afraid to cut a little lexan and mount the body this way. Last edited by metalry101; 01-08-2015 at 11:39 AM. |

Yep, easy to do. Did mine the same way after looking at my 1:1 blazer. Front bumper is just below the grill and the rear bumper is just below the rear tailgate. You just notch out a little to clear the bumper mounts, about 1/4". I cut the front of my body at an angle to match the front bumper but the rear fits just fine. If I remember right, I mounted the front body post with 11 1/2 holes showing and the rear with like 13 1/2 or 14 1/2 showing. Here's a good side shot before I trimmed the front of the body to match the bumper. Last edited by Crusty Old Shellback; 01-08-2015 at 11:52 AM. |
