Really like the white k5!
The rims are superb to.
Is it silver inside the body?
Have you driven it outside yet?

Really like your idea on mounting the battery! I was considering doing something similar, but hadn't yet considered repurposing the existing battery plate. My build is still in progress, so I haven't gotten that far. Nice looking truck!

I haven't driven it outside yet, I should but I haven't. Between the K5(mine), the Dingo(4 yr old son) and the wraith(the wife) I'm hoping we can go for a trail walk as a family. The inside of the lexan is backed with silver, even after a ton of coats of white it was still pretty translucent, so the silver was required. I'm batting around the idea of getting another body and saving this one for the shelf.

The battery mounting was somewhat required...I've settled on the standard length 5000mah lipo battery pack size so that I can put any battery in any vehicle. Also I had read about some of the guys questioning the ability of the Ascender to pass tech inspection in competitions with the existing battery mount set up. Though I don't compete I thought it would be neat to tackle the challenge of making the mounting legal.

Also had my 4yr old driving the Dingo...he did good.
