Default Has anyone tried chopping the body to create a shorty conversion truck?

I don't have an ascender, but I love the body and look.

I remember when I was younger, many people would do full on conversion (permanent, not just removing the camper) Of turning it into a shorty pickup.

Has anyone tried this yet?

Like this image I found online (not a conversion, but same idea):

Yes....that is my attempt at recreating what I liked as the look of choice for these. Loved the topless versions. Waiting to get it out, just bolted up some 1.9 BFG's, a little taller then stock TSL's, but a bit more aggressive tread pattern IMO.

Ok, great stuff. Let me ask this: what is the wheel base of the ascender body? I looked at their website and noticed the chassis has variable wheel bases, but which fits the stock body?

I ask because I'm thinking about getting the K5 body for a custom build.

Not sure what the body's actual wheel base is but it's the longest seeing for the chassis wb4? I believe

That's incredible. I would have guessed shorter. I was considering putting the body on a swb TF2. But even the standard TF2 is only 11".

Sheesh, it's a big boy.
