| Ascender 2-Speed Linkage Idea
Just came across this picture while searching through a Twin Hammers thread. Figured you guys running the 2-speed trans setup in the Ascender might think it was cool. I'm guessing he set it up this way as a servo saver due to the bashing nature of the Twin Hammers. If I ever decide to run the 2-speed I might try this out and see how well it works. |

Wouldn't it slip in and out of gear? Or maybe it's just late and I'm not seeing how's it's suppose to work

It's common to use springs in a setup like that... the Traxxas Summit is build entirely like that for their gearbox and diff lockers, since you can't adjust the endpoints.

I've never had any trouble with the kit linkage or the shift servo in my TH or now my Ascender tbh. It's all about setting the end points correctly, & only shifting whilst the truck is moving. I only use a cheap Hobbyking $8 servo too.

Yes, if you setup correctly should not be any problems. Fullsize servo? Which one? | ||
