Default New build ascender

First build with my son. Painted it on the outside, blue backed with copper so that 'rust' shows through. Progress so far!

You're off to a great start with Gearhead beadlocks, Trepadors painted lettering, outside body paint and a nice interior, keep the updates coming!

Andy that body and paint job make me feel 16 again! I had an 1980 k5 with that paint job. Looking forward to this build. Looking great.

Yes looks good I also like how you did grill in gun metal grey instead of chrome.

Maybe he gave that job to his son... lol

Nice build. My favorite ones now are the ones I do with my little guy.

The lettering was pain in the a$$! He helped for about half then declared I should finish it while he had lunch.....

Very nice!

I also used copper underneath when I painted the beat up looking bug body for my Yeti. The color comes through perfectly as rust.

Rear axle mounted. Really glad I narrowed them, they just about fit now!

What wheels are you using? They way they are painted and the angle of the photos they pass as the factory rally wheels with the beauty rings.

gearhead wheels, quite cool as you can reverse the centres to change the offset
