Found this thread... Just blew the pin out of a front - joint cup is cracked. So a new factory set for me - $42 now - unless there are any better options now. Mine are Codybow axles with brass tubes. I run chanquish wheels with brass weights - the ones that look like brake rotors. Bound it hard in a slot wall at this weekend's event. Fortunately I have 3 ascenders so I could swap one out. Great night-run too. |

Stock pins are good, but buy some piano wire to fit, cut slightly long, then slowly and carefully grind a tiny bit off both ends until it's fits into the bell part flush at both ends. Also ensure that the ends are as square and flat as possible, this helps keep the pins from walking around and trying to spit themselves out. Do NOT use drill bit blanks, they are too hard/brittle and won't last. |

Nice!, Wyd has a set that he's been running and I've seen a couple guys at comps/gtg running the VP CVDs and haven't heard any complaints about them.

I put the VP axles in my truck 4 months ago and have no complaints. I have Codyboy axles with SSD weighted hubs, MIP drivelines and have been running a 21T 550 motor on 3s with no problems.
