Default Vaterra disc brake weights

Have anyone tried to mount the Vaterra Ascender brake disc weights on stock plastic hubs? Will they fit on the hub? I need some sort of knuckleweights, but don't want the extra cost of the Vaterra alu hubs.

I have the weights on mine but upgrade to aluminum knuckles is necessary. They won't bolt up to stock plastic

You have to have the aluminum
hubs to use the weights.

Do they fit on the plastic hub? It might be possible to make a mounting hole in the plastic.

You need Vaterra aluminum knuckles, there's not enough meat on the plastic ones, I checked before I bought mine.

Hi Desmo, I have looked closely at the plastic knuckle to see if I could turn a shoulder on them, and there just isn't enough material to do it. Without the shoulder the weight will not stay in place. So Nate is right, you need the alum knuckle. I could make one for you that would hold about 2 oz on each side. It would be the SSD scale knuckle and a brake weight.
Ernie,
