Well I decided it was time to make an official build thread. Its pretty much stock so far, but there are mods a brewin' in my head that will be executed shortly.
so ill fast forward through the boring stuff. I pull my Ascender out of the box, and the steering servo is bunk right out of the box. doh! (|I emailed Vaterra and they never got back to me, so great customer service guys)It's a 3 hour drive to take it back to the hobby shop to exchange it where i bought it. Crap.. well in goes a new savox!

This thing sucks in snow. lol. The factory tires just are not up to the task. That brings me up to today's update, I bought some new rims and tires on amazon yesterday but it could be a month before i see them and I couldn't let my wifes scx10-2 keep spanking me every time we go out. So today I bought some chain to chain up all 4 of my tires, but sadly my math skills were severely lacking when I bought the chain, and I ended up only having enough chain for 2 tires lol. But alas, here they are

Tomorrow I will test out the new and improved Ascender in the snow again and see how things work. I am also thinking of using my retired Gmade R1 portal axles on the ascender for a little more ground clearance.

You dont need gmade axles! You have ascender axles!!!

You are already halfway there to having some of the best dag gum axles in the biz!
