| Ascender performance on NiMh?
Simple question really, what's the performance like compared to a 2S? I'm a full time parent with limited budget, so being able to use my existing 3300 mah NiMh batteries means getting out crawling for the first time a couple of months sooner, if it's feasible? I know the ESC can take them, and the battery tray will too, with a little modding. I also know most will suggest LiPo, that's the plan, but I want to get crawling as soon as I can! |

They will work just fine, they won't have as much punch, they won't last as long, and they slow down little by little as the charge is used up but yeah if you have them use them |

Welcome to RCCralwer, as Kincer said, nimh will work fine. Just check the ESC jumper setting and you'll be good to go. Definitely use what you have, stay within budget, get out to crawl and have fun. |

Thanks all, I was worried about asking this question, I've seen people on other forums being angry or upset at the suggestion of not using Lipos, but Vaterra guys seem to be the chillest |
