But in all seriousness I've found that little equation pretty handy over the last month or so.
Great little equation! IME the 48 pitch gears are much quieter and have been great in my Ascenders.

I always carry spares on the trail, although almost never need them with this truck. Yes WP1080 has been very good and quiet.

Have you guys kept your stock drive shafts, or have you switched to something like MIP? The next question would be if so did you use the drive shaft adapter and go with a different size?

Stock shafts, no issues even with 3S and HH Trailmaster Sport 550 21t power.

This. My Va’Blazer with stock shafts, but recently installed VP adapters with Incision SCX10 drive shafts on my K10 for the scale looks.

I’ve got some hot racing anti-sway bars. If I use them will I still need to outboard my rear shocks to combat TT? If the nut for the rear links and shocks s was on the outside I could do both, but I don’t see how I can get the bolt through from the inside.

Not necessarily, all depends on the amount of TT you're ok with, amount of rear flex you want. IMO the thinnest bar that comes with the Axial Wraith or HR version is too stiff, that's why I made my own bars and settled on a thickness of piano wire. If you're crawling well and TT has not caused you to not clear an obstacle, then don't bother with the swaybar. HTH

10-4! The TT is ALMOST not even noticeable with the shocks outboarded and the Trujillo mod On the shocks. So does anybody need some hot racing sway bars? Lol

I’m fixing to do the pen spring mod. Will this lower the trucks stance?

Ok, I’ve answered my own question. It will definitely lower stance. Now my question is the position of my springs and tension rings just gonna be trial and error?

Ink pen spring mod was a success!! Love the new stance and removed what little TT was left.

Nice rigs... I recently picked up the BND F-100, and have been making a few changes, here and there. Added sliders, swapped in a better steering servo, HW Axe540 w 1080kv motor, rc4wd tube bumper w/Warn winch, and some beefy aluminum beadlocks. Shocks should be here today.

Should I stay with the stock pinion, or what seems to be the best pinion w/stock spur, for this motor setup?

Yes and I see you did answer your own question, good job! Yes, springs/oil are trial and error.

Yes they are, congratulations and welcome! Start your thread here when you get time!

I like stock pinion/spur gear ratio and pitch even on 3s and more powerful motor.
