| Grease in the transmission?
No, doesn't need it. We are using the same material that we have developed for the TLR racing transmissions of which we never add any grease or lubricant. Will it hurt if you do? No not really but any dirt or dust that does find it's way into the transmission case will stick to the gears when they have grease on them. I just wanted to clear this up. Thanks, |

It may have been designed for no lube, but mine is quieter and shifts better with some red n tacky in it. Thanks for the inside info though. Nice to know it wasn't an oversight at the factory.

I greased mine although not excessively. I gotta pull it again tomorrow night for a motor esc swap anyways. I will probably get any excess grease out of there but not all of it. I just don't feel comfortable running bone dry gears.

Yeah, mine didn't even work dry. Wouldn't shift, noisy as hell...I'll take my chances with the grease...

Yeh for me unless modified for crawling 100% they are essentially a short course truck and you wouldn't dream of adding resistance into the train with gobs of grease with say an sc10. I have greased mine, as its going to be a crawler and it all helps the drag breaking. |

The kit has metal gears and came with instructions to use the losi high pressure black grease ( TLR77000 ) included.
