Default gear ratios?

i have a associated reedy 3300kv motor in my hammers. i started with stock gearing and it was to slow, went to 30/78 better but motor is about 109*.

im going to try 32/78 but this looks like alot of gear. its almost to spurs, lol.

what you guys running for gearing that are looking for more speed?

2 questions regarding gearing....

1 - whats the stock ratio (48p)

2 - whats a comparable 32p ratio to stock? (almost identical please)

....thanks.

28/78 is stock gearing or 2.7857 ratio

just replace numbers with 32 pitch to get same ratio

example, 20/56 yields 2.800 ratio, you wont always get exact depending on what spurs are available.

I've been running 32p 51t and 14-18t

I don't have a heat gun, but 18t doesn't seem to get too hot. I can always touch it. I might try 20t as well.

I run a Trinity Nemesis 13.5 with the stock spur and a 24 tooth pinion on 3s. I can go higher but I don't want to take from the low end of the low gear...
