Not that I don't believe you but I just put calipers on mine and your right, 108mm center to center, fully extended. I agree with BlinkFan, I really wouldn't want to go any shorter. 110mm seems to be the closest match. But the lack of spring rate availability will keep me from buying the Kings(RC4WD). Even though they look badass!

Maybe Powerstrokes are the best bet. But 118mm sounds like too much.

Can one of you guys put calipers on a Slash GTR rear shock if you have them laying around? IMO they'd be ideal due to the spring options available and also the MIP bypass setup.

No where close to binding or bottoming out. I wouldnt go much shorter though. The 103mm G-mades would still work.

Keeping the CG low and still offering the full range of travel is why I went with the Powerstrokes.

This number seems out of line.... Pro Line's site gave no length values that I could find.
Will the shock extend farther if uninstalled?

It's confusing because there seem to be so many differing numbers coming from all over. A clearer picture is emerging though

Why not just run spacers in some shocks that are too long or look for longer rod-ends for some that are too short? You aren't really loosing 4mm of travel with a 4mm shorter rear shock. If the stroke is longer you can actually gain travel.But if the collapsed or extended length are different that's where you have to do some adjusting.

The problem is no manufacturer lists stroke.

I'm looking into a set of AE shocks for my hammer. I like the way they are built, there are a million springs/pistons available, and I can make pretty much any stroke/length I want with various shafts and body lengths.

And the price on the proline power strokes are rediculous. And I have never found shafts for them anywhere when one does wear out or break.

Although their site isn't working for me right now I saw the same Pwrstrokes on another site. They are listed in title as 118mm like the link you listed. But in the description it says length is 104mm. Who knows maybe 118 is overall length??

Every one is selling new take-off b4.1, t4.1, and b44.1 shocks. Not sure what length to go with but between those three cars/trucks and with older shafts still for sale there has got to be something that could be made to work properly.

I know the b44.1 has rather short front shocks. I belive the shaft was some where around .80" long.

And all the bodies are threaded and hard ano.

Also the touring shocks used to use the same shafts/seals/bodies.
