Default GCM Front Mount with 85mm Gmade shocks - Springs?

So I have the GCM front mount and the 85 mm aeration shocks. I do not have the batter up front, but I will include a very small 3S pack in a few days for the lights I will install. The point is not a lot of weight in the front.

What springs is everyone running with a similar set up? I am using the stock gmade oil with the 2 hole pistons. I think I am set up correctly for some low altitude jumps, I don' think I am set up well for general bombing around. I am able to see proper articulation under acceleration, braking and leaning while turning. However, it seems a little stiff over bumpy terrain. I also can't seem to get the suspension to work properly at higher speeds. For example, I get a forward flip if I hit a small bump in the sidewalk where my much smaller mini 8ight will take it like a champ. Possibly a kick up angle issue??

Any help would be appreciated. I am running closed foam inserts with Interco IROC tires on Bombshell rims (it looks awesome).

I'm gonna guess the reason is because there are so many variables involved, it's kinda pointless. I'd start with the springs that come with the G-Mades and juggle springs and shock oil until you are satisfied. It's not that expensive and when you change something you will have resources ready for adjustments

Meh, I would have thought that people here would have had experiences and wisdom to share on this type of set up. Lots of people run G-Mades with the GCM front mount set up.

Perhaps URC will have some people who can share their set ups and report on the performance.

I'm pretty sure GCM doesn't recommend using shocks longer than 80mm.

85s no problem, you just have to limit them internally.

I like 80 wt oil in mine to soak up the bounce. that way the springs dont Spring back so easily

Lightest spring as you can find and have it still support the rig. Keeps the suspension active. There are a few trains of thought on the oil/piston issue. Thin oil, lots of holes vs. thicker oil and fewer large holes.

Which pistons are you using? The shocks came with 2, 3 and 4 holes. I am using the 2 with the standard oil which I would think is something like 20 weight.

As for limiting travel, I used 6mm of fuel tubing to give me the limitation I needed. I do wish I had more upward travel, but the rig already loves to float around. I am also thinking when I rig my lights and put a small 3S battery in the front it will help some of the issues I am encountering.
