Default which batteries in your Twin Hammers ?

Hi,

Could you tell in this topic which battery you use in your twin hammers:

Which brand ? how many cells ? how many C ? how many Amps ?
your runtime with it ? trial or speed bash ?

And with which motor and controller ?

Regards,
CyberFox.

One of these. Turnigy nano-tech Shorty 4200mah 2S2P 65~130C Hardcase Lipo Pack (ROAR APPROVED)

Stock motor but will soon be used with a 10.5t sensored brushless. I run the Ultimate4rc.com events.

I second this one! I run the Gen 2 redline 10.5t in it for bashing and crawling, 25 min runtime but only mounts in rear of vehicle. I use the stock battery for gcm front end undertray. The battery is like 1/2 of the vaterra battery which I also bought for $65
I get about 8 more minutes on the vaterra replacement battery (4200mah) and more power it feels like.

I use these batteries ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh 3S1P 45C (USA Warehouse)
I use a MMP, Trinity Nemesis 13.5. My run time varies depending if I'm crawling or bashing. My guess on average runtime would be 35 to 45 minutes. I use my TH for both crawling and bashing but I don't use it for speed runs as it is a unstable platform...I use a Futaba 3PM-X radio.

If you already have some Mini E-Revo batteries, they fit well in there. Light and easy to swap.

I run mostly in 3S.

I use venom 2000mah 20c 2s . And here is a link to a similar thread http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/vater...eries-fit.html I think it would be great if there was a battery guide for what fits in our beloved twin hammers. :^)

I use a turnigy nano tech 2200 mah 3 cell battery. I forget the C rating but we have a bunch of them between all of us. I also use a Momba max pro esc with a 3800 kv castle motor. The battery fits in the stock tray barely. It is a tight fit. I got the motor n esc together in a kit. Both the motor n esc have a fan. It is a tight fit but the fan will fit under the interior. You will have to turn the fan on the motor just right but it will fit under there.

I run two 2s 2500 mah spc lipos in parallel. I get about 40 minutes run time while thrashing it on dirt with a castle creations element esc and 3930kv motor.

For anyone interested, these are the packs;
SPC LiPo Power, Lithium Polymer (LiPo) Battery Pack; 2500mAh, 50C, 2S, 7.4V Soft-Case

My Twin Hammers right now is using 3S Zippy Compact 2200mAh at 25C I think. I run with an LRP sensored esc and a 10.5T Turnigy Trackstar Sensored brushless motor and I can get. I get at least 30minutes out of it with pretty rough bashing on our home track, which has a couple good hills on it. I am using the stock Vaterra Spur gear with a 23T pinion instead of the 28, and I believe I have the timing on my motor almost all the way down. But my 2200mAh battery lasted a good 5 or 10 minutes longer than a 5200 Turnigy in my Slash 2WD with VXL in it.

I use this battery
Value Hobby R/C Hobby Store (Addison, Illinois): GForce 40C 2200mAh 3S 11.1V LiPO (T Connector)
In the stock battery location on a Tekin 10.5. Get almost 30 minutes on a combo of crawling and speed runs.

What kind of run time do you get with the stock setup? I am curious because they are about half price to anything ells that fits.
