Default Twin Hammers Rubber boots

With all the abuse at the beach, i've been finding the drive shafts are getting a hard time. Who'd of thought sand and salt water were bad for moving parts?
I've just fitted some rubber boots, as below. I've used vaterra glamis boots on the mid shaft and inner drives, and cut down Tamiya boots from rc channel on the outdrives. The caster blocks needed a bit of fettling to give a bit of clearance, as did the gearbox front support.
I have my doubts at to how long these will last before getting torn up.....

As you can maybe see in the pictures, the sway bar also requred a bit of a tweak to get it clear of the inner boots.

To close this one off.... After a fair bit of use, as you can see, the cvd boots died. The glamis outdrive boots on outdrives and transfer shaft faired ok. One got damaged by a trapoed stone, and the transmission end trasfer shaft boot eventually sheared due to the sharp edge of the outdrive. They did a good job of keeping out a lot of sand though. The transfer shaft boots will stay, but i've not bothered replacing the others.

Maybe some shrink wrap can be a cheap an easy way of replacing those high wear areas.
