Default Noises

My TH has recently been making a deep grinding like noise when it drives. I am not sure what it could be. If anyone knows anything about what it could be that would be helpful.

First thing to try ,remove the motor from the equation and roll back and forth to try and eliminate the gearbox , it could be as simple as to tight a mesh on the pinion to spur

Then it is, indeed, the motor.

Have you identified if it is the motor or the transmission?

Gotta troubleshoot. Check and tighten your pinion. Check it's not the pinion/spur gear mesh. Try a different motor. TH RTR motor will die, only a matter of time. Could be on its last leg.

A single wire on my sensor wire broke recently and the motor made a grinding sound. It also got really hot really fast and cogged like mad. I thought I had destroyed a brand new motor. Once the sensor wire was replaced it was fine.

Basically you have to trouble shoot RCs like a pc. Check one thing, if it's okay, move into the next. Start the parts that are easy to get to. If you're running a castle esc, listen to the beep codes.
