| shot in the dark? GCM FRONT TOWER PLATE...
I know this is a shot in the dark. But does anyone know where a person might get one? Front battery mount also. Thanks

scour ebay is likely your best bet, as well as posting on the wanted forums. Rctech.net has a lot of activity still. Mostly racer stuff but someone may know someone else that would have one |

I see on line that traxxas and axial show both to have aftermarket front shock towers. Just wandering if this might work? But it does look like they are bolted to the frame. Thanks

If you aren’t set on the GCM tower, there is a 3D printed shock tower with bell crank steering set on shapeways. The designer is Scorched Parts. He used to post in the forum here under a different username. Good guy, excellent parts. They are well designed and allow you to use an 85mm shock The GCM tower is an awesome piece, there used to be a guy on rcc who came up with a really nice bell crank for it. The GCM piece itself doesn’t include the steering fix unfortunately. If you find one of these towers, be sure to ask the seller if they have it as well Found it, here is a link. He designed a bunch of TH parts. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/scorched_parts Last edited by smog; 10-25-2022 at 09:20 AM. |

with the open diff its more bouncing over stuff but using good wheel placement it dose good enuff to keep up with other rigs its kinda a challange finding lines that keep both front wheels on the ground you could.lock the front diff it would be alot better |

I've got silly putty in the front differential on my Twin Hammmers. It does great at low speed and high. Now, high speed is 3S in 2nd gear on a 3800kv motor, stock gearing. Low speed is 2S in 1st gear, same motor / gearing. It'll crawl and haul. It's still a great, durable truck that's worth keeping maintained. My sons and I still drive mine consistently. |

I see where these don't make great crawlers due to the belly pan being big. Is this so? comp crawler

Yeah, the IFS limitations aside, the Twin Hammers will crawl pretty well. I've usually had brushless motors in mine though. If you put a brushed, or brushless sensored motor in it I'm confident that it will surprise you. Even at low speed stuff. |
