My understanding is that these are sold as a kit you assemble yourself? From the time and effort it takes me to mod the controller I don't know that they are including that in their price?

You will have to solder up the servo control board yourself. I'm sure it will come with the board but I will have Neil verify that.

And yes once I receive an e-mail from you, you're on the list. A couple people have shown interest, that I'm not sure if they have contacted me personally yet. So please, make sure to send me an e-mail. Quote:
Chris is correct, I will ship these out fully assembled, and completely un-wired. All electronics from the donor servo will be included, but wiring it, will be up to you. There seems to be a few different ways of doing this, and I honestly don't know any of them. I can tell you how many RPM the end mill was turning, that engraved MADE IN USA, but I don't know an ESC from an RX plug. Haven't even gotten around to building my own crawler yet. So please forgive my silence on wiring how-to's. The main reason however for leaving them un-wired, is that I figured it was something that most people would not mind doing in order to keep cost down. One of my biggest reasons for offering them direct. With the help of some of you. I would like to post up, or include, some good instructions on wiring options. So any input would be greatly appreciated! Last edited by QUICKSAND; 08-19-2011 at 04:19 AM. Reason: confused as usual

wireing the stock board isn't hard. all you need is some 1.4k resistors and a Hitec servo programmer |

You're welcome, and thank you very much! I'm still planning on sept. not sure how, but it's my plan. Will squeeze in more winch components as soon as I get the chance. Fairly certain it won't be before mid month, but I am getting there... Last edited by QUICKSAND; 08-18-2011 at 11:53 PM.

Simply amazing! Looking forward to another on of the most functional scale products ever! Ok so I'm NOT very electrically capable so who's gonna wire this baby up for me? I'm not gonna start messing with electricity with a $225 product! Thanx |

At this point, this next run has all been spoken for. Everyone that I have received an e-mail from so far, will get the winch (or winches) they requested. If you would like to be in line in case someone backs out, let me know. If nobody does, I'll put you down for the run after this. Not sure when that may be, but I will try my best to keep parts going when I can. Thanks to everyone that has shown interest, and I will keep you posted on progress. Neil QS Customs |

Still thinking I might be ready to order up servos about mid Sept. Then a little time to take them all apart and modify drive gears before they can be assembled. Sorry it takes me a while, just not a lot of spare time right now, and these little guys are fairly involved.

Sorry guys, been busy. In the middle of a big job right now, so last couple components have to wait 'til machine is free. Hope to get back at them after this next week. Sorry it takes so long, will keep you posted.

Will finally have time this weekend to work on winch parts again. With some luck, I hope to start assembling in a couple weeks. Progress is still being made as I get the chance. Thanks for being patient. |

I personally like to run alot of voltage to mine either 12volts or 14.8 depending on the power system in the car they are in. I run them through a esc(B1R). Which should work on your third channel. The secondary ESC will give you optimal power and speed. PM me if you need help it is really quite simple to wire up.
