Thanks everyone for your patience. And thanks for jumping in there for me John. Will do, and thanks! Quote:
Sorry I have been absent a while, but things have been progressing. I just got in a mess of servos. Hope a few of you still want winches. Plan to get them apart and work on drive gear mods this weekend. Then start assembling a few at a time. One more external part to make still, but hope to start contacting a few of you guys soon about payments and shipping. Sorry about proximity to Christmas. I totally understand if some of you need a little time to get money together. I'll send out emails to those on my list, as I get their winches done. I wont bump anybody from the list if they don't have funds, and they still want one. There will be a winch from this run waiting for them, 'till they're ready. Thanks again.

Wow, lots of work and effort into these for sure.I am sure everyone appreciates the updates and generosity. I have had one of the original run winches for close to 3 years or so.... It is by far the best winch ever produced and you couldnt buy it off me for any amount of cash if you tried. Now I just need to find a winch line these bad boys cant snap on 3s |

I run mine on 3s and know another member running his on 4s. both use a toggle switch connected to a mini servo to operate the toggle. Works great, all the voltage runs threw the toggle direct from the battery, servo is plugged into rx as normal. I think we are both pushing the limits but havnt had any problems yet other than trying to find winch line that will hold up to the task. Attempt at your own risk.... |

Glad your winch has been working well for you. Thanks very much for the compliment. As for the line, I'm working on that myself. Quote:
I have no clue... maybe I can find out. Thanks very much to everyone helping answer questions! - especially about wiring. I have still never used one of these winches myself. If anybody has problems with anything, please PM me. I will do what I can to help out, or try to work through it with you. Well anyway.. I just sent out emails to everyone on the list for this run. Hope to start shipping the end of this week. A little behind 'cause I forgot to order something I needed. If you did not receive an email, and think you should have, let me know. Thanks so much for being patient

It is a 3 pos toggle. On/off/on, the toggle has 6 poles, you cross the leads on the outer diagonal poles and put power in/out to the middle poles. Servo is a micro bolted to a piece of L metal and the toggle shoe goo'd on. Servo horn is drilled out and slipped over the toggle switch. It doesnt take hardly any servo movement and requires very little toque to move the switch. My epa's or set at less than 20 each direction. All the power (2s/3s/4s) runs threw the toggle, servo gets rx power. This set up doesnt require a bec since the servo has no drain other than the simple flipping the toggle switch.
