+1... Not knowing what type of enviroment you run in this may not be an issue... out here in the desert I'd think the dust and dirt would Gall the eye and ball of the rod end causing it to bind up...

I too have broke one, that was when i was crawling a diffficult 5FT wood bridge i set up. Well s**t hit the fan and i missed the pillows i put down

When building the parts just take care not to screw the threaded stud in past 10mm. If you do it will add extra stress to the part and help fail it. From the photo I can see the end of the screw right at the failure point.

The new links are in production and I'll let you all know when they should hit stores and be available online.
