I run the 3racing driveshafts for a Tamiya cr-01 and they've been great. They are all metal, take about 5 minutes to install with no mods needed and less than $20 shipped. Here's the link to a set...

My stockers lasted 5 runs. Im using AX-10 Integy universal shafts now, they need a little trimming but its the only integy part I would recommend.

Just get a set of RC4wd Punisher shafts and never look back. They wont break, and will never ever come loose.Well worth the $$$$ and are the best value

Absolutly the best solution to stock driveshafts! Did this and mine worked awsome till just after my first comp. Made it through the first comp but since I still had some battery left I was running the course the hard way and the front just snapped at the spline but not the CVD. I would recomend this method but your going to want to go steel for any hardcore wheelin' and skip the Traxxas stuff. You'll be able to get them at any hobby shop but you'll be buying them so aften it a waste!
