I've had good luck with the G-made shafts.

The MIP's are larger in dia, that could cause you to hang up I think.

I used traxxas steel ends and traxxas plastic driveshafts. They worked really well and are readily available almost anywhere.

Are all the rc drive shafts interchangable with the venom , like shafts made for the scx10 or the ax10

You will need to measure the length of the stock ones at full extension and at full compression then find the G-made one that will fit,G-made makes several lengths of drive lines.I'm still running the stock ones on my creeper.
I've had zero problems with the G-made shafts on my tlt scaler.

I run the g-made carbons, have had no problems. I don't remember what length I got but a few seconds with a tape measure will tell you what you need. I think I went of the installed static stance length. so on it's wheels with all the weight on it, then you just allow for suspension travel.

I've run both G-made shafts and the MIP's over the years.

Don't waste your money on the G-mades. The slip spline is a D-shape and doesn't move easily when under torque. This adds tons of stress to the pinion and trans output bearings. They aren't much cheaper than the MIP's and won't last near as long. I had to double-wrap the pins with heat shrink to retain them as the setscrews refused to stay tight, even with OCD level cleaning and red loc-tite.

The MIP's for an SCX short wheel base works fine in the Creeper. I have a few sets of MIP's among my fleet and they have yet to let me down. I've wore out a pair of pins in the coarse of three years. They were bent little slivers by the time I replaced them.

The old-standby Traxxas Stampede shafts are fairly decent, light, and an easy to replace fuse. Since they twist a little when really abused, they help absorb shock loading, which helps protect the plastic trans gears.
Unfortunately, if you drive like an animal, or have brushless power, they twist apart fairly easily.

Sure do! And they are the only way to go..
Its the cheapest route in the long run.

I did the traxxas metal yokes and plastic shafts.. the shafts will pop off the yokes and just be a pain. (This route costs more..)
.
I think its rpp, they are 36.99$ for scx/ax MIPS.
