VARCOR is now a RCC recognized club - http://www.rccrawler.com//forum/showthread.php?t=13612. We also now have our own Comp results thread to post and track the scores of each event http://www.rccrawler.com//forum/showthread.php?t=109550.

What this means is that VARCOR will now be recognized to receive an invite to the nationals. And in order for us to receive an invite this year, we must have a certain number of completed comps by the end of June, 2008. This is the reason the 2008 Point Series schedule is set as it is. Some people were questioning why the events were scheduled as they are and this is the reason, to have enough events by the cutoff date, to qualify to get an invite to the nationals. So now we get to have someone represent VARCOR at the nationals, so let's do it.

Thanks to everyone for their support in coming out to the events, both comp and GTG's. We hope that VARCOR will grow as the season continues on and that we can expand to other areas of the state as much as possible.

Congratulations to everyone, as each of you made this possible!

this is really cool! so basically the top people in the points series at the end of the season get to go to the nationals?

Yes, but I'm not sure if it will be the top 2 or just first place. It seems that the number of clubs has increased since last years nats, so we'll have to see if they invite the top 2 or just the top spot.

Thanks to Mark, Joe, and Thor for the hard work on getting the VA club going. It's been 200% increase in the number of Virginians interested in RC rock crawling!!!

Woohoo! You guys have done an outstanding job! I hope we all continue to take part and push along the growth of VARCOR....just don't mess with the second gate....it's MINE!
