Default New Crawler in VB

Just thought I would say hello to the VARCOR guys.

I have been in RC for a long time mostly casually racing Nitro and elec touring. Also have run off-road over the years. Haven't been able to race the last few years due to 2 young kids so I was looking for something else to try.

Happened upon rock crawlers, something I have always enjoyed following in the 1:1 world.

I am currently building my Axial (finally have all the parts I wanted - been lurking and learning as much as I can) and also working on my CR-01. Build time is sporatic when I actually get a few hours of free time. Hopefully I will get them done soon and then see how many times I can fall off rocks!

Once done I hope to join you guys for GTG or Comp. if I get the hang of it.

I am hoping to get my oldest going in the hobby as soon as possible. She is 5 and I got her a Losi Micro truck to get her used to the controls.

I have been going to both HT and Debbies for years and raced at both back in the day. I took a look at the HT course and it looks like a lot of fun. I will try it out as soon as the truck is ready. I will like to attend a comp (with or without truck) in the near future. In the mean time I have been on the look out for any pile of rocks that look crawl worthy.

Our next comp is next Saturday, May 17. VARCOR #5

The remaining two will be in Richmond on Sunday, June 8th and Saturday, July 19th. 2008 VARCOR Point Series

I believe HT VB is shooting for an indoor comp sometime in June. And we'll have some GTG soon too.
