Quite a bit actually....theres a HobbyTown in RIC that is about to put in a new indoor course and theres a local club called VARCOR...check out the site...you can always post up to get a GTG going. There are a few very good spots.

Check out Forest Hill Park, Belle Island, and Pony Pasture to begin with.

All great places to crawl and are all in Richmond. VARCOR holds comps at these locations.

Yea, Bell Isle is a scaler's paradise! I'd be there every day if it wasn't so far away.

I think I'm in as long as I can run my 2.2 comp rig, the scaler is still a few weeks from being trail ready.

I need an address to figure out where, and to make sure it is within the allotted radius for personal use of company vehicle in the off hours:?

I created an account on VARCOR and posted the newbee introduction yesterday. I still don't have access to view the threads, How long does the 'approval' process take?

To get to the ballpark of the FHP GTG on Saturday (don't listen to that crazy crawldad dude about Belle Isle ), run a map for the intersection of W. 33rd St and Semmes Ave. We park right on 34st at the arrow, and from there you just walk down the hill through the woods to the creek.

Thanks, it's even close to the hotel

I should be able to get off work for Saturday, so unless something changes I'll be there

What voltage? I have a couple of 11.1V packs I can bring since the rig I hope to have ready will only be running 7.4V.

Yea, no doubt on Belle Isle in the heat, which it is supposed to be 90 on Saturday. Lots of flat white rock with no shade equals no fun in my book. FHP equals loads of shade.................and not 3 stories of stairs to conquer at the end of a hot day.
