I did the same thing on my XXX-SCT, reversed the battery wires and POP! Both ESC power wires desoldered themselves and flew off violently......amperage is an amazing thing!

The lipo was ok, the Tekin RS Pro, not so much.

Got some cage work done on the ol' Silverado. The wires you see are for hazzard lights (been told I need them!). The IROKs were just too damn big for the Jeep project, so on they go to this truck. Tractor Supply Company had 3/16" steel rod for cheap, so I figured what the hell

I'm thinkng you could do better, you got skillz . We'll see how it does with IROCKs versus Pitbulls. One things for sure, it's got some more ground clearance .

Wish that "build bug" would bite more often, I might actually have all my rigs done.

Hey you could just go to a Menard's and get a mayo gas torch. Braze it together. As strong or stronger than welding. Plus makes a cleaner appearance

3/16" mild steel rod, Harris Safety-Silv 45 brazing wire and A MAPP gas torch. It didn't come out too bad for eye-ballin' it.

Gonna have to try that. Where is the best place to get the brazing wire from? Would like to build a cage also, like that look

I got mine at a welding supply place. The Harris brand comes as a kit, flux and wire .

I'm very curious myself on how the IROCKs do, I love the looks of those tires. What rims are you gonna use?

The cage looked a little empty so I came up with something to fill in the open space. A Pro-line roof rack, cut in half with the leftover piece as the back. Now she's got some storage area .
