I'm up for it. My dad crawls with me...so he makes two. I also have another buddy that just started crawling with us...he might be able to make it out.

I cant even have my dog out of the house when I'm crawling...he hates them. Not sure if it's a high pitch electrical sound...or if he's just a jerk

Regarding getting to Pets...

http://www.trailville.com/wiki/WI_Ke...gs_Park_Trails

Getting There: Petrifying Springs Park is located between the cities of Kenosha and Racine, just East of Highway 31 (Green Bay Road) with park entrances on either County Road A or County Road JR. There are signs at the entrances. Google Maps link to Petrifying Springs Park. You can also get to Pets via the new - as of 2008 - paved bike path (brown on the map below) that runs east to the North Shore Bike Trailand within blocks of the Lakefront Bike Trails.

At Pets there are many many different areas for crawling. Most of the stuff I've come across would probably qualify as "scale" style driving...hills, tree roots, river bottoms, etc. Not sure if scalers would be able to make it through some of the terrain as it is very steep with lots of "ledge" dropoffs. We use our AX10's and are able to enjoy ourselves greatly.

There are some rocky areas...but to be fair I have not scratched the surface of the trails there...there may be more in areas that I have not been to.

And I will try to scout out more areas at Pets over the next week or so to see if I can find some legitimate "rock" sections

I stopped by the location today, I thought that it was not going to be good, but it turned out ok. It is kind of over grown, which makes the rocks look small but there are some nice drops in between the rocks, nice for a 2.2 but not a super. I will post pictures tomorrow when I get a chance, I am closing on my house tomorrow so it is a busy day.

Just an update...my buddy Pete is a lurker here on the message boards...and he thinks I might have overstated the trails a little bit with regards to the scalers. After thinking about it...yes I must re-phrase my earlier statement.

Most of the terrain ( 80%+ ) we have been crawling is perfect for scalers. There are a few instances ( very few ) where there are logs fallen over the trail that our AX10's are capable of getting over the obstacles. These situations are very few.

Happy Birthday in advance. Hell, why not expand the party over to Sunday @ the GTG.

So, let's get this organized.

How about we meet at Pets, in Parking Area #2, at 9:30am?

How does that work for you guys?

Ok, so I'm not sure if this pic will work or not, but if it does not, please email me at mattfanke@yahoo.com and I will email you directly with the pic and my cell number.

http://www.highoaksrr.com/images/2008-12-17-07.jpg

The parking areas are noted by the yellow and black text, P6, P5, P4, etc. As you enter the Park off County Hwy A, the first parking lot you pass on the right side will be Parking Area #6. Keep going until you reach #2. My vehicle is a Black Dodge Grand Caravan with a red, white, and blue "Midwest Nitrocross" decal across the back window.

Email me if you want my cell number.
