the advantage of having a MOA is that at climbs when in a shafty you would need to engage freewheel to climb and not tip over but in a MOA it would run the two motors at different speeds... AM I RIGHT????

| No, lower cg, and insane breakover angles are the advantages. Clod-stall is a dual edged sword.... it helps and hurts in equal amounts

| not always! we have a spot that is a nasty climb that quite a few bergs have ATTEMPTED, they didnt make it. then me and 2 other guys with shafty's went right up them.

| I was doing fairly well locally with my shafty, it was working well and almost complete. But no dig. and I needed it. So my reason for going MOA was for the "dig set-up". Never gave too much thought as to whether I'd be gaining some huge "imaginary" advantage because of it. And that's the truth |

i aint scared of no MOA however, there are a few drivers around here that kick my a** no mater what. nluv, chino63, bounsline, badger well not badger but, when these guys show up i dont care what they are driving you better have your game face on, and chino63 (dean) still has TLT's on his comp rig. i say run what you brung.

For arguments sakes to the original question, let's say we all agree that the MOA works 1,000 times better than a shafty, the answer is still no. You do not make rule changes because someone found out a way make something perform better within the rules. This would eliminate any incintive for progression by both individuals and manufacturers. I guess you could make a major rule change if it was designated for the overall good of the sport. But fair warning would be needed to allow those who invested to make the adjustment. What I'm talking about is if an advantage in the rules could be obtained but it were not readily available or affordable to the gen pop. But MOA does not fit in this categaory because we all can buy them. And I have already proven that it is cheaper to build a custom Berg than a custom shafty. |
