Been working on this for the last 2 months and I'm happy to say it's almost finished. It started off as a F350 warpig project then changed to a 1.9 Chevy and finally this. This is my second attempt at a crawler (first was a TXT super but since the class was cancelled I stopped building it) and my first scaler, I'm usually a monster truck guy.

First I have some folks I'd like to thank:

polyophio - K2-3L frame
Aipohaku - pede tranny
run2jeepn - stickers and "Dirty Deeds" motor
Red Rockcrawler - clocked Cs
pureadrenalin - OG tires, turned down tlt shocks, rectangular light housings, body trim, and other stuff I'm forgetting. Also thanks to Jerry for the advice when I needed it and just someone to shoot ideas off of.

Also to RCC and these folks for their threads which proved invaluable: microgoat, chino63, 1BadJeepBruiser, obijuan, BigBaller(also thanks for the encouragement), young_version, and the countless others I read through for ideas.

And thanks to all the Hawaii guys who have the bar raised so high around here that I had to give up all my free time for 2 months to try and keep up.

Now the specs:
K2-3L modded (~1/2 inch taken out of the center droop section)
pede tranny losked diff and spur w/ dirty deeds 55T motor
tlt axles w/ clocked Cs
Hybrid suspension: highlift leafs in front (chino mod) w/ 4 turned down tlt shocks); 4-link rear with stock tlts
Novak XRS esc
TQ-3 radio receiver, tower pro MG995 steering servos for steering and winch
Axial Rock Lizards narrowed and reduced on 1.9 highlift wheels
Clod body w/ 4x4x4 grille modded to GMC grille

And here's some pics:

AWESOME truck, love it, i remember it i was a kid then, you got it detailed perfect love all the access. exc. job, well done would you sell it? "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Truck looks awesome. I would suggest the HPI Chrome stock car wheels to give it the corrrect look as well as a set of the trail doctors. Other than that, it looks spot on!"thumbsup"

Thats killer!I loved that show when I was a young lad.I watched it for the truck but more for Heather Thomas in that pink bikini......grrrrrr:lol:

Thanks guys, I should have also said this truck is for the new scale class here in Hawaii. I made some compromises to appearance for the sake of performance. I bobbed the bed 3/4 inch and bought the rear bumper in as close as possible. I also tried to bring the brushguard and front bumper in as close as possible. All that to increase approach and departure angles and reduce overhang.

I agree with the wheels issue. The real one uses chrome wagon wheel type wheels, a design I don't like. Since I had the highlift wheels and the axials were cheap I decided to try the cut and shut thing. I really would like to run Traildoctor XLs and CAC slotmags nonBLs but since I have these and they'll get beat up anyway I'll wait for the rebuild.

Nice Kent, looks great "thumbsup" That brings back some memories of the show and a few diecast trucks I had!!

Looks good, what a great idea! "thumbsup"

Well, I'm not the kind to kiss and tell,
But I've been seen with Farrah.
I'm never seen with anything less than a nine, so fine.

I've been on fire with Sally Field,
Gone fast with a girl named Bo,
But somehow they just don't end up as mine.

It's a death defyin' life I lead,
I take my chances.
I die for a livin' in the movies and TV.
But the hardest thing I ever do
Is watch my leadin' ladies
Kiss some other guy while I'm bandagin' my knee.

I might fall from a tall building,
I might roll a brand new car.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that made Redford such a star.

I never spend much time in school
But I taught ladies plenty.
It's true I hire my body out for pay, Hey Hey.

I've gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs,
Blown up for Raquel Welch.
But when I end up in the hay it's only hay, Hey Hey.

I might jump an open drawbridge,
Or Tarzan from a vine.
'Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine.
