GMC "Fall Guy" truck

brilliant makes me want to jump out of my bedroom window into a pile of boxes lol"thumbsup"

nice, all it needs now are dust clouds behind it a scale lee majors wheeling it.

looks good man, what a good idea for paint and theme. "cause im the unknown stuntman.......""thumbsup"

nice, it came out awesome "thumbsup""thumbsup"!! i'm gonna make a scale run within the next month or so, hopefully. i gotta tear down the "little bruiser" from it's last run with young version guys. still got mud on it from that time.

awesome looking "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"!!

Your truck came out sweet... You better not ever sell this one but if you do, look me up. As far as the wheel I've been trying t o get CAC to make some of these in 1.9s I think they would look real good on your truck.

with a centercap like this...

The tires are a little large but they look good. Kind of an old Dick Cepek looking tread pattern. One thing you should look for mirrors from the new Hilux. To me they look exactly like chevy pickup mirrors.

Thanks everybody "thumbsup"

Thanks Bob, I too think the tread pattern looks like the Cepeks that the real 1:1 ran. That's a big reason I'm keeping them for now. I really like the look of the Traldoctor XLs, maybe in the future.
I like the the wheels you showed (looks like welds super singles) but I'm probably never going to run beadlocks since the real one didn't. I was (and still am) thinking of getting a set of CAC 1.9 nonBL slotmags since they match the period (early 80s) of the truck. But since this truck is for scale runs and will be getting beat up I figured I'd stick with the highlft wheels as throw aways

Alright!!! That's what I've been waiting to hear, a scale run. I just gotta get some break in runs on this a do some tuning and it'll be ready. I'll throw some crap in the bed and get some tow shackles for the front too.

Looks like you just about nailed it. Thanks for sharing with us. Seeing it brought back some cool memories from waaaaaayyyy back when I was a kid."thumbsup"

Nice truck, I loved the fall guy!! Where did you get the front and rear bumpers and roll bar? I am doing a scaler with the same body.

Front and rear bumpers, and rollbar are all stock cold units. The brushguard is a highlift unit I modded so it wouldn't stick out so far. The hoops are 3/16 aluminum tubing.

killer rig, hawnmt"thumbsup"

any chance of close up pic on your leaf mounting?

Awesome job man!"thumbsup"

How's it perform?

Funny you should ask....I haven't really run it since finishing ths body(will soon though) but I did do some testing when doing the body work. At first the rear was way too soft and the front too stiff. It would just flop like a fish. So I first changed to a much heavier shock oil in the rear and hope to get a little stiffer springs in the future. I then "chino" modded the front leafs to get some movement. The setup is better but I hope to change to delrin leafs in the future. I went with the hybrid setup to limit bumpsteer but never figured the leafs would be so stiff.

Hate to ask but im gunna !......................wheres the video?????????????????????????????????

Sorry rcjeepbuilder, I don't have a video camera but maybe when we do the next scale run they'll get some of this truck then I'll link it to this thread.

Along with the General Lee, Kit, the Coyote from Hardcastle and McCormick, AirWolf, and a few others, the Fall Guy's truck was a vehicle I loved growing up! I wanted that truck so bad. You did an awesome job recreating it. I'm so envious. GREAT WORK! "thumbsup"

The Bigfoot truck that you have in your avatar looks awesome too. Do you have more photos and info on that?!
