Harley's TCS X-Trail

My apologies concerning the delay on the leaf springs. TCS has been very busy lately, the patent paperwork has been more difficult then anticipated, and even manufacturing has had some hiccups with these. I had emailed some of you that these would be done this week. But it looks like that won't happen. Be assured, we are working on this project and it gets closer and closer to being done every week. Once again, sorry about the delay and please be patient with us. Thanks! "thumbsup"

could i buy the chassis and the hardware kit and build it up from there without having bought the Ax-10 kit? money id s little tight on a 16 yo's budget

You would have to still by a tranny and axles with just the xtrail and hardware set up.

Yes you can. That is actually what I did with my FJ, just bought two axle kits and a trans kit.

This chassis can also be used with TLT axles or whatever other axles you want.

Patiently waiting.......but getting anxious, very anxious:lol:"thumbsup"

I am starting my newest X-Trail build!

Fastlane R/C Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK

This will be about 10.8" wheelbase, it will be using custom links not the stock links.

Couple quick start off pics.

Here is the body just sitting on top of my FJ, WB is too long and of course the body is too low.

I will also be using some new parts in this build that we may make available for the X-Trail. You will just have to wait and see what those are going to be though

I will be designing a real tube roll cage and tube bumpers front and rear. The interior from the body will still be used but the doors will be cut to look like half doors (Jaynen did this first I believe). The rear shock towers will most likely be removed

what are those black wheels under the JK? they look a lot like KMC Rockstar wheels!

also, a quick question about the X-trail Chassis.....

if i were to get one, and chop off about an inch of frame at the rear, would that have any ill effects on the truck's peformance?

Harley, you mention "Cyclone Wheels". Are these the ones on your white jeep? Are they beedlocks, Where to get?

Wheels and shocks are my only hang up on tearing my Scorp down & starting my scale build:roll:. I would like cheaper plastic beadlocks (1.9's), but ain't found any yet.

I think a lot of guys are using Tamiya highlift shocks or TLT shocks:?:. The ones with an aluminum body showing halfway down and then the spring on the bottom half. Is this correct?

Thanks

No the Cyclone RC4WD wheels are black annodized non-beadlock aluminum wheels that are on my silver FJ. I do not have a white jeep, if you are refering to Jaynen's white Jeep then you are looking at CAC 1.9 aluminum beadlock wheels sold by RPP.

There are no 1.9 plastic beadlocks that I am yet aware of (other then Delrin), however there should be very soon.

TLT and High Lift shocks can both be used.

Will f-350 leaf springs work on ax-10 axles and do the holes line up from the leafs to the axles?:?:

Check out my build thread in the 1.9 section titled Hardbody K5. I'm running stock Highlift springs with AX-10 axles. 2 of the 3 holes line up but I fabbed up a piece onto the back of the axle for the 3rd hole so I can use the stock HL lift blocks the way they were meant. I dont know how well they will line up with the chassis with the xtrail though. Any questions, shoot me a PM.

I'll still more than likely buy the TCS springs when they come out too."thumbsup"

TCS X-Trail out of stock

Hello, I am new to this.
Just wondering when the TCS X-Trail chassis might be back in stock.
