If I remember correctly, at least most of the early crawlers used Tamiya Clod axles.
Anyway, I'm really surprised that Traxxas would make a crawler.:shock: They call themselves "the Fastest Name in Radio Control" for a reason. All of their current vehicles are aimed at the speed crowd.

Yeah, I actually got a chance to drive a Slayer the other day, its a bad ass rig for sure! Though, I'm still trying to save up cash for a Slash.

I wish they would release something! Just a little something!

over on monster.traxxas.com - (traxxas own forums) they said that most releases come out on a friday to let people stew over the weekend.

The Platypus Revo was placed about 5pm EST Friday on Traxxas.

The Slash was released Friday as well, not sure if it was later in the day.

I honestly think they also plan late friday releases to not get slammed with phone calls Friday. Also same is true, to help the hobby shops out a bit.

From when the 2.5 was released traxxas has been very secritive of what is comming. To be honest I am shocked they placed an ad like that.

I was in Rc way before traxxas was around, and will be if they ever quit. I know I fell into this when I 1st got into the hobby. I bought a 4tec because of the speed. the handeling left a huge sour taste in my mouth.

I wonder if he remembers the traxxas bullet that came out o about 10 years before the 4tec was thought of.

and if anyone hates RTR they can blame traxxas they were one of the big players that came up with the idea.
