Berg Newage EnRoute Beadlock thread...

I like Mayhem's stuff a lot.I am using the 7's and wanted more weight up front. I came up with an easy way to add slugs in the holes using cut to length 7/16" steel rod. These rest against the front beadlock ring and as a retainer on the back I used a large inside snap ring. Works great, looks sanno, and is easily adjustable. Adds 3.5 ounces to each wheel.

your options are all slugs or nothing to stay balanced. one to many holes

quote "and is easily adjustable."

he could swap in alum slugs

IS it for a BErg ?? or ax

It's a Berg. I don't believe balance is all that important at the wheel speeds I usually run, but I'll have to play with this and see if it induces wheel hop with just 3 weights in place.

Aluminum or Tungsten are definately optional slug materials that would adjust weight. Im working on getting some Tungsten rod on the cheap...

Balanced wheels play a big role.

Can someone measure what the actual offset of one of these wheel is? how far from the backside of the wheel to the backside of the hex? Widths on the axles is nice but no good if your trying mix and match track widths.

Thanks much

Being that I am now expecting a new Berg I want to say thanks for this most useful information regarding the available wheels for a Berg.

i run my berg @ 10.5 with proline wheels with cougars and have 6.5 to 7.5 oz in the front and none in the rear i cant see where .25 or .50 makes much diff. or is this my messed up thinking ?

Awesome idea man...I might have to try this one out if I get Mayhem 7's for my berg..."thumbsup"

It seems that some people want to keep their rigs lighter (no aluminum wheels) to help them crawl better, and some like to add weights to the wheels to help keep the rig glued down. What are the different schools of thought?

Bump...

where are all the new wheels?

someone add the new stuff clean up all the crap and make it a sticky (Rockcrawler)
