Updates on my SCX10.........

Looks great Brad "thumbsup" I just found out that to extend the axles without making any chassie extensions, just use the longer lower links...ie..98mm instead of the 91mm.

Nice work Brad, are you getting much bump steer with the servo set-up?

I remember how clean the rig looked before you drove it, ie, before the anodizing was scratched off. Any plans for Axial to offer delrin links in solid colors?

I know I have black delrin and white delrin available to me, and I can dye the white stuff, but a company like Axial could have red manufactured, and offer colored sets in standard lengths that stay their original color through the life of the link.

Any plans on Axial making a proper kit to move the steering servo to the frame?

Looks like a winner as a hop-up option (and axle housings without the mounts).

Cheers
Tim

nice job"thumbsup"

Thanks. 8)

Thanks for the pictures Brad it helps alot.

No problem.

Nice build brad looks like you and axial are becoming a great team"thumbsup"
been wanting to do a scaler and this after seeing yours and a few other's this thread pushed me just hard enough to do it thanks"thumbsup" I'll be watching this build for sure:!::lol: as usual thanks for the detailed pics!!!!

Brad, this is really cool...

I'm digging the prerunner theme and from the live feed of jason's rig the body is very fitting

Thanks guys.

looks great Brad"thumbsup" what spring colors are you using? the stock long springs are stiff...

I'm running the stock springs and oil all the way around right now. I had prototype soft springs out front in a few of these build pics, but I swapped back to stock because they were a little too soft. "thumbsup"

Cool rig!!!

Thanks.

Those are the lower links I used for the Orange Trail Ranger body, plus I added about 6mm of spacers to the upper links to keep the pinion angle reasonable.

I get very little bump steer with this set-up. I'm not sure if we'll bother doing any Delrin links at this point or not.

Swaaaeeettt as always... will be keeping an eye on this one..."thumbsup"

Damm, That thing is cool.. Cant wait to see it go.

Thanks.

You would need to lengthen the uppers too....to keep the pinion angle right.

Correct. "thumbsup"

I'm not sure if we are going to offer a frame mounted steering servo option at this time. 8)

I really would like to see Axial come out with delrin links. I don't care what color they are.

very nice build, from a prerunner enthusiasts/rock crawler enthusiast you have a nice mixture going on that looks perfect."thumbsup"

I'd bet that would be a hot seller if you could make it bolt right into the stock chassis somehow without drilling any holes.

I hear ya. "thumbsup"

Got the body painted up yesterday afternoon. Going to start planning the rear radiator fans, inner fender wells and tube work now. ;-)

Prerunner

I want to buil a pre-runner or trail racer but i want to be able to tune my diffs (diff oil) has any body sealed this diffs?
And can someone tell me what part #'s i need to make this a gear diff thanks in advance

Awesome work Bender you really nailed the prerunner look. I can't wait to see what custom parts you come up with.

So are you going to put a Goat in it like the RCC Pacer or a Mamba or somethig else?

Body looks great.

excellent work!! One good-lookin truck..

That looks awsome! I like the spares in the back. They can act as a wheely bar too ;-)

Thanks guys. 8)

I am sure you could seal the diffs with silicone, or something similar. They actually already have gaskets on the differential covers already. The diff gears can be ordered separately. If you want dual open diffs order 2 sets of these part numbers. "thumbsup"

AX30390 Differential gear set
AX30170 Shaft 3 x 22
AXA1162 O-Ring 5x1mm

 I'm loving that paint job!!

Nice job Bender! Nailed the look.

Thanks. Still not sure what I'll end up with as far as electronics goes at this point. Might pull the 12t motor out of my racer and get another Mamba Max, we'll see. "thumbsup"

It's been said before but, great looking truck and paint"thumbsup"It really looks like it can handle itself.
