Thanks to all that helped out. I think I finally found a great setup for me. Several trails with wheel weight but I got it down now. Chassis is very predictable and flexes just enough. Steep uphills, sidehills, you name it's climbing it. Now if I can get the driver to be as good as the truck

Losi .9's up front (some super thin shock oil i found laying around).
70mm links in rear
Tekin Fx-R mounted on one side mounted post with small plate, Fx-R can be unvelcro'd and dig switches rotate up to have access to Nomadio receiver and work on chassis. HH Manly dig switches (electrical tape on dig switches to keep them from rubbing the chassis nuts/bolts), 11.1v lipo, 35t's 12 pinions, big fancy servo
Mayhem 7's and chisels, nomadio react , ok pictures

Can you get the Lipo in the belly? I have run both my ESC and a batt on the back axle and they have each taken good shots back there.

Thanks. Can't get the battery in the belly. Not enough room with the dig switches mounted the way they are and the Nomadio receiver. I've been running the battery on the back plate for several months now without a bad hit so far.

Looks like your all done! Turned out good but that body post in the rear is gonna break for sure. Try to figure that out and it will be dialed.

nice looking rig. ive driven Havoc MOA trucks and i think the sprung/torsion thing is inda cool.

i used to have my ESC on the rear axle and i beat the shit out of it. so mine is now safe between the chassis plates.

its actually quite easy to protect your lipo or esc on the rear axle, all you need to do is cut a piece of lexan to fit, bend the back edge over to protect the back side of it and voila instant potection.

I had a longer post but I shortened it up cause I didn't want it restricting the rear flex. I didn't like the tight tolerances of the post and side plates. I hope you are wrong about it breaking 8) But I'll leave it for now. Unless I am missing something you are talking about. I have been testing about an hour a night with no issues. Yet.

This Zero ST is really predictable. Front shocks have no-weight oil (I used R/C after-run-oil) and the rear is torsion. Who would have thunk? "thumbsup"

How much does the rear flex? This looks like a cool setup.

I run a rigid frame and have been contiplating making the rear rigid, leaving all the articulation to the front axle. It might just be crazy thinking, but I plan to try it for giggles.

Im a noob, but I have been soaking up knowledge on this forum. Why put the battery in the back, I thought weight was prefered in the front rather then the back?:?:

Good question. These are my answers.

These axles with the motors on them have plenty of weight to them.

Steering servo weights about 2-2.5 oz. My batteries I run are 3-4 oz. Not alot of weight when compared to the axles with the motors on them.

Only a few options (with MOA axles) to get the steering up and out of the way and usually no room for it up front (as you can with my over the axle steering)

The ST works great.

Not to mention my battery-on-rear-axle setup :ror:.
I still have this chassis hangin' on the wall. It was a good one.
