The recent changes to Nats/worlds

What do you think about the recent changes to Nats

I like some of the changes, but for this year the location and more importantly the date should have been left like the last few years. Mosy of us have jobs and it hard (for me atleast) to say I need a week off 6 week from now.

Your question deserves a reply, but I can't answer the question because I have no input into the financial matters of USRCCA.

My duties are limited to the area of Rules, Sanctioned Clubs, and Qualified Drivers.

I understand you can't speak for the entire entity that is USRCCA/RCC, and I thank you for your mature non-condescending responses Fish, it is much appreciated!!"thumbsup"

I think that the amount of effort required to run the LCQ the entry fee is justified.

Yeah, but where does that extra entry fee go? To the winners, the pot, or one of the staffers? Do the the LCQ guys/gals that didn't make it get the same experience? Do they get a frickin t-shirt even? All I'm trying to point out is the people that compete for the LCQ are not getting what they should for their $$$....

To me participating in the LCQ shows commitment that you think you have what it takes for one final chance to compete in Worlds and therefore you are willing to make the investment. If it were too easy without any risk, any Joe would signup. If you make it, then it pays off. If not, oh well you lost your gamble. Better luck next year. It's really no different than the 60 people who did no make the top 25 at WCC, just $20 more. I suspect you get an event shirt for your $95 but I don't care. I am willing to risk the $95 with no guarantees. I am entering the LCQ with 1 goal in mind and it's not a lousy t-shirt. I only have myself to blame if I am not good enough to make the show.

You all have half, if not more of the people complaining about this entire deal. You have top named drivers, more than a few of them also, talking about quitting the sport alltogether just because of this move

Quiting the sport? Maybe they should! And while they are at it, they should should go wash their p*&sy! "thumbsup"

Maybe you should go suck what most people stick in what you are talking about washing."thumbsup" All of the travel, getting up at 2-3 in the morning to be at comps 3-4 hours away to chase points series, going to the big events 900-2100 miles away and spending 1000-3000 bucks doing so 3-5 times a year and then you find out that what you worked for all year just got yanked out from under your feet. There eventually comes a point when you have to say it is not worth it and move on or just start running local comps and have fun.

So all I can say to you is screw off.

I don't think the "Judges" at a comp of this level should compete.
I remember when I was at the 07" Nats I judged the "2.2" Saturday then drove my "SUPER" on Sunday with the 2.2 drivers judging us.

So you are saying the judges should not compete but you judged and competed in 07? and you also stated in another post the organizers should not compete. Did you even go to the WCC and see how it was run ? I'd bet not. Everyone did their job first and then ran and some had to finish in the dark with flash lights. there is a lot of complaining on this subject but the way Parker sets things up and runs the show there is no proof this is and advantage but it has been proven to actually be a disatvantage. Also they have to qualify like everyone else wether its though a club thing or the lcq if you have earned it DO WORK!

Did you even read what he said.......I partnered with him judging 2.2's at that nationals. We didn't run 2.2, and when we ran super the judges there weren't running super.

Yes I did it says he doesn't think Judges at this level should compete. maybe he should have said in the class they are running in. which by the way i am not oppsosed to but there might not ba a long line of judges waiting to volunteer. then what? plus he has said he dosn't think the organizers should run at all which i don't agree with

Basically what it all boils down to is this.. You all have half, if not more of the people complaining about this entire deal. You have top named drivers, more than a few of them also, talking about quitting the sport alltogether just because of this move. Yet, you all are steadfast in your method, and don't seem to give a damn that a TON of people on RCC are raising hell about it. Pay attention guys, that many people bitching means there is something very wrong and needs to be addressed/fixed ASAP... If and when the top name crawlers start dropping out, it will have a major impact. People will see them quitting and then ask themselves, why should I keep this stuff up, if they're quitting, it must not even be worth it... My star is set to expire in oh, about 45 minutes. I can guarantee I won't be getting another one till I have been satisfied that this place has redeemed itself and its ways.. I know you couldn't care less about that, but it means something to me FWIW...

"thumbsup"BINGO. You said it well. The fact that our thoughts on this entire deal have been completely ignored is very disturbing. Leaves a major sense of doubt about where it is all headed and if it's worth it to spend all the money and time for, yet, another season of busting ass to see what happens next year.

If you guys want to run this like a business, you better start listening to your patrons before there are none left...

Another big issue: No off-course repairs. Really?! So you get to run your rig as hard as possible to try to win for any ungodly amount of courses?! How many of you are absolutely positively sure that your rig will endure all of the abuse and are truly willing to spend that much money to travel just to have your rig fail mechanically? If that happens on just one of the many courses, you will have no chance at winning.

Maybe it's a good thing we won't make it to Donner. Because I have a p*$sy, but you can bet I'm NOT a p*$sy. I'm not someone you want to meet after that comment!!

Get em Momma Bear!

Sounds to me like Chasinbaja is either a 14 year old punk, or simply to new to the sport to understand the consequences of his statement.

You've just managed to insult one of the nicest lady's your likely to meet in this hobby and pissed off a whole lot of people in the process. "thumbsup" Take my advice and keep your post count low till you know what the f your talking about.
When you have dedicated as much time, energy and money as she and her family have you might have some concept of what she's saying

That is a much gentler response then I expected.

Joe, I am on your families side with this. It is hard to try and qualify for something and then find out that it has been completely changed.

The locations of finals should be announced at the beginning of the series. That way people who can go, will try their hardest and people will not be able to go, can just enjoy the year.

I also understand that this year has a series of unfortunate events. I hope the Worlds will be great, and then when we have the Worlds on the East Coast it willbe easier for you and yours.

I agree 100%! It sucks but is crying about it gonna make it better?

When it is on the East Coast I will do everything i can to make it, if not.... oh well! i wont sit here and cry because things didnt go my way.

what shows character in a person is how they deal with adversity.
