Updates on my SCX10.........

thanks Bender - ive been beating my head up against a wall on how to do this one? lawlz! "thumbsup"

now the search for x1 CD case is underway, then to make it scale ill be throwing in debris into the wet paint to give it that rough rockchip guard crap they put in 1:1 fenderwells.

Very cool rig man, I am brand new here and I'm just lookin around at all the different builds. I ran across yours and this is exactly what I am looking to build here in the next few months. Something that can jump and tear it up but can slow down and crawl up some rocks when the terrain changes.

Nice work...really nice work. I thought it was some new rig from Axial that I didn't know about...lol

Hi ! I got one of it , but no idea how to upgrade before I saw yours , and I am going to upgrade mine too , and what I want to sadi is WOW "thumbsup"
You got youself a very nice looking truck "thumbsup"

About those fans...

I happen to be a computer geek and recognized those fans as computer case fans or maybe CPU cooling fans. As you have them set up in your pictures, they would be drawing air into the body from outside. Also, I really don't know if you will be able to make them functional without a separate battery pack, as the picture in post #63 shows that the operating voltage is 12VDC. You might be able to get them to spin on less, but they won't spin very fast, if they spin at all.

Computers run both 5 and 12 volts from the power supply to all the components. 9VDC might be just enough to get them spinning at a reasonable speed. I wouldn't expect them to be of any real cooling use to your ESC, though. The airflow just wouldn't be high enough.

If you could find fans of the same size that run on 5VDC and a low amperage, you might be able to pull it off and even run them off the main battery pack instead of a separate dedicated battery.

I hope this helps you out, and provides some useful info to anybody else wanting to do this.

Next time we are at CDM. "thumbsup"

Thanks. The camera is a Nikon D80. I'm in California, that wash area is right by my work. "thumbsup"

Bender,

Great looking rig!! It's really amazing.

I scanned the thread, but couldn't find a description of the electronics you're using. Can someone point me to the correct page or can you tell me what esc/motor.etc you're using?

I'd greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks,
Chris
