The older glues worked for that.....not so much the newer glue.
Acetone usually works, though you may need to try something stronger like MEK....
If you don't care about the looks of the can, I just use a little torch.......heat and remove.....
Curious, why are you removing the magnets?

I use to soak the old Epics in acetone, I didnt like the oven idea because heat kills magnets. Plus once they're hot they get brittle so trying to tap them out of a can I would tend to crack or shatter them.
If you know someone with a Zapper you could have them do that after theyre redone. In TC and Oval racing we use to rezap them after every run, motors just never felt the same once they got hot.
It's not that you cannot, Jim just said typically one side would shatter.....
I wonder if cutting them like they were slate would work better.....more of a grind than a cut......

I'm trying to score a zapper off of an old carpet racing buddy... He's zapped a ton of cans for me in the past couple of months, but he doesnt want to come off of it for some reason.
and whats MEK?
Yeppers....MEK = Methyl Ethyl Ketone (IIRC)......works great, but really, really bad for you. Use in a well ventilated area and/or use a charcoal respirator.Nasty stuff that causes cancer in California. I'd actually start with that stuff, Acetone might be a waste of money. You can get MEK at Lowes, Home Depot, etc...
