Started building a trail truck, and basically ended up with a CK.

Looking for reasonable speed and torque.

So do I gear down the 35t, and to what?

Do I gear up the 55t, and to what?

Was running the 21t pinion on both. As far as pinion size, ive got it all.
Front and back diffs are locked. Has Proline Hammers, and a Traxxas XL-5 esc. Truck is just for all around fun, but need some more crawling ability out of it. Have the battery in back to prevent flip overs during hard braking. Should I do the switch?

Do I need to get a 45t motor?

Thanks guys!

I would say gear down on the 35t and volt up, 3s seems to be the magic number had this set up on my SCX10, lots of power and torque when you need it, although if your using the stock WK tranny you may need to change your spur from a 93 to 96 to accomodate the smaller pinion.

when I had my WK before I turned it into an FOFF rig, I was running 13/96 gearing.

hope this helps

I did the Blitz slipper clutch mod - locked. Trans has metal gears. Im stuck with that spur, so I will go with gearing down. As far as LiPo, dont have a charger that will do them yet, so no LiPo.

Thanks

BTW: whats FOFF?:)

IMO, lipo is the way to go, lots of cheap options nowadays for lipo and chargers.
