I have ran axial for years (ax10). Wanting to give the lcc and this worm drive a try.

I see that it says its a dig transmission. Does that mean its ready for the losi dig unit or it comes with it?
I heard the worm makes the motor work harder, is that true?
How's the balance of the rig out of the box?

I know its a noobish question for you lcc guys but I want direct answers from people that are running them and not trying to sell them.
Thanks

Comes with the dig, its combined with the transmission.
Yes the worms are hard on motors due to no reduction.
Its a good truck right out of the box.

Overall the LCC is a great truck and I have done well with it, but the competition is getting pretty stout and the LCC struggles to do well on the high end of the spectrum.

That's what I was wondering. I have a ax10 based rig with a swx chassis kit and its setup purty good. How well does it do against other shafties? I'm not worried about how it compares to the moa crowed. From the looks of the rig it should do purty well in the shafty world.

It's a great shafty, definitely beats the ax10.

Just put a sensored brushless motor/esc in it, get some bent lower links, put some good tires on it with some knuckle weights and you'll be in a real good place to start.

it seems like the ax10 just has a crud load more hop ups. I've just stayed with axial products soo long I wanna try out a different crawler. I wanna stay with a shafty though.

Ya there are definitely more aftermarket hop ups for the ax-10, you can put all the lipstick you want on a pig though, still a pig! :lmao:

Read a few of the build threads on here and you'll get the idea of what is required and what is icing when it comes to upgrades.

No you actually get opra :lmao:

I have been reading till my head hurts. Where is a good place to find parts for the lcc? I seen you can run hub wieghts, where do you get them? I know that not all rc places online carry the lcc nor the parts. I know rpp has some parts and ckrc carries a few but they don't even carry the lcc/lnc.

most lcc hop ups aren't truly needed, the v3 cvds are a must though. i've been running stock knuckles (well....mostly stock :ror:) and c's and see no reason to switch. and for the trans, the slipper elim kit is great, and i also have the lightweight shafts and dig arm, but those came with mine. ax offset wheels are the ticket for me at least and new tires of course. i've done a lot to mine to gain clearance and its all been for good, and ultimately got applied to the new overkillrc chassis that will be hitting the market shortly.

best thing i ever did was putting the money into a quality brushless system. second to that was making my own parts to suit my needs.

Knuckle weights and some bent links are probably the best 2 things you can do after tires. I'd recommend a set of Sedonas with double duece foams from Crawler Innovations. You can make your own links if you want, or you can buy them from DLUX along with knuckle weights. The knuckle weights are pretty pricey though, if you don't want to lay out the $$$ for them you can use wheel weights instead, they just don't work as good, but a helluvalot cheaper.

DLUX FAB | Products

He's a great guy and makes good stuff.

You can lower your center of gravity by getting the dig servo down lower, the 2 most popular makers of mounts for doing that are CDW(crawler design works) and rcbros.

Take a look at my build thread. I put my money where it counts. All of my parts came D LUX or CKRC. I made my own links and a few other things I've fabed up myself. Nothing difficult. I run a sensored brushless with a bodieless chassis and knuckle weights front and rear. With all aluminum parts, LCG servo mount and aluminum gears in yhe tranny and an aluminum motor mount. It's all about what where you put your money. I've gotta pretty good chunk of change into my rig but its one well built shafty and i'd up against any shafty on the market.

I've got some rovers already on my swx. Dlux website don't work on my phone for some reason. I guess ill just do a lot more research but I 99% sure I'm gonna give a lcc a try.

IMO a stock lcc can go ALOT farther than a stock AX-10. A AX-10 with all the hop-ups can probably compete with a stock lcc.

Really only must haves is v3 cvds (new losi's come with them), good dig springs (new losi's come with them), run a over/under setup or run the hd f&r (21:1 reduction stock is 25:1). Ideally an dlux chromoly worm rear and a hd up front. Dlux knuckle weights. They flat out turn a good rig into a awesome rig.

Oh and gold losi springs.

If your seriously interested in going losi route, i'd suggest reading through del monte's thread if you want to run the stock chassis. Although i'd recommend taking alook at overkillrc's new chassis. You'll have to read my putting power the shafts thread or pete's (ghtpdm5) build thread

This might work for your phone.

If you get a LNC the best mods and most affordable mods I made was : small and lightweight battery, 12tooth pinion gear, stock worm shim removel and over-under.

Over-under?

Since I stated I'm new to the lcc I'm gonna ask, will the xr10 wheels offset work on the lcc? I've tryed searching but I think I was asking the wrong question cause I can't find the answer.

Overdrive the front axle so the front tires spin faster than the rear. You put one of the losi HD worm gears in the front because it provides a different gear ratio.

Ohhh lol in axial terms we call that OD/UD. Over-under sounds like mounting on link over and another under lol. But yes that is a good mod for any crawler but it does put a lot more stress on parts on a hight traction course. Do you know if the xr10 offset will work on a lcc?

the stock xr10 wheels wont work the will rub the knuckles, but narrowed stock wheels will work but will also narrow the f/r of the losi. so to use them well, you need wheel wideners/axle extensions
