California cut Trepadors

LOL, I've been running them backwards and really liking the results so far...the flatter face of the lug bites really good on rock.

Are you sure this s not a Cajon thing:lmao: anyway they look good bro hope to see you and your tires out at the hammers"thumbsup"

really like the way thouse look, would you mind telling us how you did the cutting ?

Sorry about that, only the fronts have weights, roughly two ounces inside of each wheel. I run the CI close cell inners with medium outers f/r, 4.50 diameter, no mod to foams. Got lazy and didn't feel like dismounting them, but also didn't want to stretch the foam over the lead. Rig is close to 9lbs. Ran them backwards for a few packs and think forward bites best. Kinda' undecided on that one...

sweet, im currently mounting em on omf beadlocks with full internal weights (about 2.5oz) with an extra 1.5oz on the wheels as well, so ill be running 4oz fronts and 1oz rears, my rigs should be in the 9.5lb range fully equiped i cant wait! "thumbsup"

Just logging on since Wedsnesday.... I was chasing electrical and motor issues the last few weeks so my last couple of runs were cut short, but they have been through two G6's and a handful of GTG's. So far I've run them both directions, I think forward hooks up better all around, hold the line where you point them, and should get better as the CI foams break in. I dig the sidehill with the closed cell foams, never rolls onto the rim or push out. So far I'm happy with theh performance. Oh, I also spray them with WD-40 and let it soak in and soften the rubber. I've done that for years, diesel fuel works too in a pinch.

i really liked your idea of cutting the lugs, but i didnt wont to go to far away from the stock look.

i only opened the gap in the middle where the lugs meet. just this little mod made a big difference.

That was my original plan, just open up all the lugs to the carcass and go from there...but I kept going. Nice job BTW, I kinda' wish I did a sipe, then test, sipe, test, etc. to get a feel of each change. Thanks for posting up, glad it worked out for you! "thumbsup"

now that youv turned the big lugs into a bunch of smaller lugs, its almost kinda like a pin style tire, but still scaleish. just my novice observation

Pics from a water fall feature on the road to work, it's a waterfall for a rock supply company so it's off on the weekends. These CI foams really make the tire work like they should. Outer foam lets it bite, inner supports the sidewall without fold over. Think my electrical bugs be gone, rig ran a good test sesh. You can see in some pics how well the CI foams support almost 9lbs. of rig. They really held every line I put them on, seem to bite harder with the heavier 3000mah lipo, but I've chased some electrical gremlins, etc.

Gotta' put some miles on em'...

Yes, I should take a class in photography, but hey...
