BOOSTED's 2014 build The 5th Dimension: MKII begins:pg 11

Well, I had the itch to get out and play so I slapped her together real quick, I will be tearing it back down doing some lightening of parts, and a much more thorough build up,

Here's the set up now
Chump stick from lowers
Cdw uppers front and rear
Chaotic switch rear lowers (temporary until my custom order comes in)

Scx shocks last inner most hole on both sides.
Slapped together with mini t silvers and approximately 0wt shock oil:ror:

The rig did quite well but I definitely need to rebuild these shocks as it tended to topple on some gnarly side hills. I will also be trying a little stiffer spring set up.

All in all this chassis seems VERY promising!

Just the gnarly ones?

Actually...for a frankenlinked rig out for her 1st shakedown...she didn't do half bad. Shock oil DOES Help. Ask Paystin bout dat.

I consider any side hill that it unloaded on gnarly, be it 10deg or 45deg. So yes just the gnarly ones:ror:

With the sucker punch build, and work goin strong, I tossed her together just to get outta the house for a few hrs. I will tear it down soon enough first on the list is rebuilding the shocks.

I really like that chassis as a bodied chassis! Super simple and functional.

So do I. It's simplicity is very nice and the ability to space the rails off the side plates to whatever width you want is nice. Ill be tossing some calipers on it to get the thickness of the carbon, but with just the 4 braces this thing is stout.

After looking at your pics and talking with you tonight....

I would limit the rear shocks externally and test it.
Leave the fronts alone for now.

If it doesn't fix it, then I say you split the limiter and do an internal and external.

I also wish you could move those lower links up hole or two, but it looks like you can't move them up because of where your shocks are?

Thanks Marc, I always feel giddy like a school girl when we hang up.

I added another set of jato rod ends in the rear uppers(at the chassis) which helped clock it a little more. That in turned helped with the wheel base a bit but its still squatting out over 12.5". I'm gonna try screwing with the shocks tomorrow I ended up getting called out to work tonight.

---and ya I moved the lower links back one hole and ended up having to move the shocks to the outside of the mount as the rodends where smashing into each other.

I did get the shocks rebuilt, but not limited. Went with the green mini t springs and 45wt and it feels WAY stiffer so gotta play with that and find the happy medium.
